Old man's red barn

This old farmer was standing outside his barn working as we stopped to
photograph it alongside the highway. He came over and talked with
us for awhile and commented that many people stop and admire his barn.
Stone barn photo #1

This beautiful, half-stone barn appeared out of nowhere around a
corner. It took us by surprise and was worth the effort to climb
through the weeds along the roadside. When we first saw the barn,
it had several horses out front. But when we were finally able to get
the shot, the horses were gone.
Stone barn photo #2

This is another angle of the stone barn. I would have liked this
one more if the phone lines weren't in the shot. Those evil phone lines
are our enemy when it comes to these gorgeous barns.
Cranky barn

This old barn is down the road from our family and has seen better
days. We know the shot is a little overexposed, however, we liked the
setting. It's near an Amish family farm that sells dairy
products.
Small barn with horse

This is another barn close to our family. It's hard to see the horse
standing in the doorway. I had to stand on my car's doorjam to
shoot over the weeds.
Dead tree barn

This is my favorite find from the trip. The highway that we were
driving was very desolate and barren. This barn appeared on the horizon
out there by itself, nothing around for miles except for a few
scattered oil wells. I loved the old dead tree. It gave even more
character to the setting.

Dead tree barn #2

Here is a head-on shot, looking towards the West. This would have been a better shot with a sunset in the background.
Same barn again, looking to the East. Not sure which angle is the front or the back

Dead tree barn #4

This is how it appeared as we were driving towards it. Not much around. To me, the setting looked like a painting.
